Rob Hays Memorial Hoot Scoot 5k - September 26, 2026

South Newton FFA will be hosting the Rob Hays Memorial Hoot Scoot 5K at the Newton County Fair Pumpkin Palooza.  All FFA Members and Community Members are welcome to participate.

The event date is September 26th, starting at 8:00 am CDT.  Check-in starts at 7:30 am.  Walk-up registrations are welcome as well.

The start location is the FFA building.  The address for the Newton County Fairgrounds is  12189 Punkin Vine Rd, Kentland, IN 47951

Free-will donations will be accepted for the IN FFA Rob Hays Memorial Fund.

Parents and Community Members: Rob's goal was to encourage young people to exercise.  If you would like to help on the day of the Hoot Scoot instead of running/walking, we would appreciate the help so that our FFA Members can participate in the 5K.  Please contact Matthew Armbruster (armbrusterm@newton.k12.in.us or Anna Landstrom-Smith (landstroma@newton.k12.in.us)
