Sources of Strength Trusted Adult Campaign Week
This month, our Sources of Strength group planned a week of fun activities in a "March Madness" format. The purpose behind this campaign is to help increase our student/adult connectedness and help create a culture that increases students' belief that adults can help and be trusted in difficult times. We had over 35 teachers & staff members participating in our daily activities!
Thursday: Goggle Basketball
During PRIDE, the high school students got to witness SNHS staff and teachers play Goggleball, which very much limited our vision and ability to hit quality shots. However, nobody was severely injured, and we did not need to call on our nurse for help! The powerhouse team with Mr. Glassburn & Mr. Montemayer won the challenge, but Miss Doan gave it her all, and Mrs. Vena was a rockstar out there!
"A great mentor is an adult who sees who you really are and believes in you anyway."
We hope throughout this week, we were able to provide lots of laughs and also encourage our students to see us as a Source of Strength in their lives.
*Stay tuned as our overall winner(s) will be announced after spring break*

Wednesday: Passing Period Scooter Races
Staff members dressed up as students and raced on scooters during every passing period throughout the hallways. We had a few wipeouts (Mrs. Pitstick), a few wall crashes (Mrs. Hamilton), and some slow and steady riders with epic laughs!

Tuesday: Modern Family Feud
Staff members were tasked with identifying common phrases among our high school students... Needless to say, we all struggled with this, except for Mr. Conrad, who dominated his team, and Mr. Eldridge, who led his team but fell short in our "cool" points!
