With a grant from the Jasper Newton Foundation, 14 native Indiana trees were planted on the South Newton campus to replace the invasive Bradford Pear trees that were removed in March. With the help of Laura Floyd from Newton County Soil & Water Conservation District and Jamie Reed from Purdue Extension, several classes completed this task! Students also learned about the difference between invasive and native trees.
