Gear up for Homecoming!!!

Student Council has planned several fun activities for this week!

Hallways - looking spooky!! Reminder: Please refrain from placing anything on the ceiling or the painted picture walls. All decorating needs to be completed by 7:30 AM on Monday. Students must have an adult in charge for decorating outside of school hours.

Powderpuff and bonfire - Monday is powderpuff practice during Pride. Other practices need to be scheduled outside of school hours. All participants MUST have a physical on file. The Powderpuff game will start at 5:30, bonfire will begin after the final game. All students are encouraged to attend!! Entry is $5 or 3 non-perishable food items.

Spirit points - All this week, classes will be competing for the coveted 'spirit stick' and bragging rights! Help your class by dressing for the daily theme and participating in the lunch games and powderpuff. Every point matters!!

HoCo game - Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2:00 pm. Hoco candidates need to arrive at 12:30 for pics and be ready for presentation at 1:30 PM. Look for a separate email with more details.

HoCo Fall Ball - Saturday, Oct. 11, from 7-9:30 in the aux gym. Guest passes must be submitted by Friday, October 3.

No live-streaming tonight, but the concession stand will be ready for all of our fans!

The corporation will have a professional learning day scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Students will not be in attendance that day. Extracurricular activities will still be able to hold meetings or practices after school hours at their traditional times.

The South Newton phones appear to be coming back online. We are still working on the underlying cause. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

South Newton phone systems are experiencing problems with incoming calls on the afternoon of Monday, September 8, 2025. Please know we are working to get this fixed. Until this is resolved, please utilize email for correspondence. Please remember to keep the bus lane clear during the activity route pickup in front of Doors 3 and 4.

We encourage you to use a parking spot to wait for your student. This will keep the bus lane (sidewalk with the curb painted yellow) empty for the buses. Students who need bus transportation will load there.

The combination of vehicles backing up and driving around buses with limited visibility is causing safety concerns. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

SN Student Council is hosting a blood drive on THIS Wednesday, August 27! If you are 16 or older, you can donate blood and help save lives.

16-year-olds need a permission slip, which you can get from Ms. Doan or Mrs. Kindig. You can sign up using the QR codes on the flyers around the school, by seeing Ms. Doan, or at this link here: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=snewhs

Students will need to eat a good breakfast (with protein!) and drink lots of water. Students will also need either an ID or another document showing their date of birth.
