South Newton Middle School students participated in an exciting STEM Day on Friday, May 9, where Advanced STEM students took the lead in planning and teaching seven dynamic STEM modules. The modules included Bridge Design, Phone Rescue, Science Extravaganza, Drippin' Dash, Pixel Art, and Egg Drop. These hands-on activities showcased the students' creativity and problem-solving skills and allowed them to step into the role of educators, guiding their peers through engaging and interactive learning experiences. Middle School ELA Newsletter for the week of May 5, 2025.
Our 8th graders participated in our yearly Freshman boot camp, led by high school student leaders with Mrs. Robbins and Miss Barrett. They learned a lot of information about high school today, did a lot of team bonding, worked on career goals, wrote a letter to their “senior self,” and even got to spend some time in the sun!
It was a great day, and we are very excited to welcome the Class of 2029 to SNHS next year!
Our student leaders did an amazing job helping out all day and creating a great learning experience for the 8th graders!
