South Newton High School is proud to announce that Avalin Bohlinger of Kentland has been selected as October's Student of the Month! Avalin is the daughter of Roger and Carla Bohlinger. Avalin has been on the Student Advisory Council and played volleyball for four years. She has been a member of the Student Council, serving as President, National Honor Society, and played basketball for three years. She has spent two years with Bring Change 2 Mind, and has participated for one year in Spanish Club, Softball, and SADD, and has served on the prom committee, managed track, and helped the drama department.
Avalin is a starter on the volleyball team, and she has grown tremendously throughout her high school career. She will help lead her team in the Semi-State this Saturday. Avalin wants to be a medical assistant after high school. Congratulations, Avalin!
