South Newton High School is proud to announce Forest Nyberg of Lake Village as August's student of the month! Forest is the son of Alyssa and Gus Nyberg. He is currently participating in his second season of cross-country and has also participated in track. Additionally, he serves as the senior class secretary. Forest has been a nine-year member of 4H and a four-year member of Scouting America. He is currently working toward earning his Eagle Scout rank. Forest is part of the Newton County Soil and Water Conservation District's Student Conservation Internship Team. He primarily works at the LaSalle Fish and Wildlife Area as part of that internship. Forest plans to attend a small liberal arts college to study biology. Congratulations, Forest!
